Maurice Ager #13 SF

November 13, 2008

ager6

Scouting report: Ager has decent size and was advertised as a shooter entering the 2006 draft. But he’s only 8-for-34 on NBA 3-pointers in his career, and a Josh Boone-like 26-for-45 from the line. He’s at least shot OK in the D-League (38.2 percent on 3s), though with horrid secondary stats.

2008-09 outlook: The Mavs picked up his third-year option before trading him to New Jersey last year, so Ager will have guaranteed money this year. If the Nets don’t buy him out, he’ll sit behind the bench all year thumbing through a copy of “Lonely Planet: Eastern Europe.” Otherwise, he can get a head start on finding a league that’s more commensurate with his talent level.

    Welcome to Nets Blog

    November 12, 2008

Welcome to Nets Blog, a brand new blog about everything NJ Nets.  This blog is aimed to collect all of the information about the nets (scores, rumors, injuries, draft) from all over the internet and put it into one place where it can be combined to keep people informed about everything Nets.  The site was inspired by the great Metsblog.com which is why it may seem a little similar.  As the season has just recently started I will try to begin by profiling all of the players on the team and do a forecast for this season. If anyone has any tips advice or news they want to help with email me at zbelair@mac.com and it will be greatly appreciated. Thank You and Lets Go Nets.
